I was watching newsnight on TV the other day and they had some big wigs on discussing the rising price of petrol amongst other things. I was horrified to learn that almost 70% of what we are charged in the UK on a gallon of petrol is made up from nothing more than...wait for it...TAX???????
Am I on my own here or does anyone else scratch their head at this one. At a time when everyone in the country is left counting the pennies as the cost of fuel (and food, and utilities and everything else) rises, and there is supposedly no easy way to make peoples lives a little easier, surely here is one very simple way to help us all out!!! Makes me so mad!!!
