Ive just been accepted for a loan through a broker but to get the loan i have to pay a fee of £29.50. This sounds a little strange to me, is this normal? I think they said it was to cover set up costs.

May be worth checking any documents you've actually signed to see if its mentioned. Also can you contact the loan company direct to see if this is a requirement with them. Posted 3 years ago #

I would be really wary of any broker asking for an upfront fee. Im a regular on a couple of different finance forums and have read loads of threads from people who have paid such fees to brokers and not got a loan at the end of it. Which broker is it? Posted 3 years ago #
