we paid a sum of money up front for a brokers fee we were told.We can claim it back but will have to wait 180 days before we get it back.The firm are based in spain.Think we lost that amount.Not a lot of emails,until i threatened trading standards.

Always remember one thing, never make an up front payment. In most cases the broker is out of pocket until you complete the loan application. Sending documents, getting BSQ, getting property vals all cost the broker money. Some companies are trying to get the client to pay these fees up front. If they do then they do not trust that they can place a loan with you and this is why they are trying to cover their losses. Posted 2 years ago #
